It's amazing to me how the ultra religious always rattle on about how the Lord spoke to them, or how they're waiting on a word from God as to whether they should continue on as planned with some tom foolery or cease and desist like us non-religious folks know to do before the thought is even allowed to be birthed from the brain fart that created it.
I'm not about to speculate on whether or not God actually speaks to people. Far be it from me to claim any knowledge in matters such as this.
What I do know about the God I was raised to believe was the Creator and sustainer of all things is He's not in the business of stupidity.
God shouldn't have to tell you that burning over 200 Korans is wrong. He shouldn't need to thunderclap you in the head for you to realize sleeping with that woman's husband is wrong. And he most certainly shouldn't have to send an impromptu shout out for you to realize that he created all of us equal and your lack of or deficiency in melanin doesn't make you any better than anyone else.
So when you're out there doing dumb stuff and you're patiently waiting or praying for God to speak to your heart...chances are he probably did before you decided to move forward with your foolishness.
