I'll Take it Like a Woman....Just be gentle

Oh my...I don't know where on Earth to start. I guess "where I left off" is most appropriate.

Definitely has been a while since I've sat down to jot down my usual daily ramblings. Work, the house hunt and life (in general) convinced me that I was entirely toooo busy to take the time to blog. I mean who really cares about which house I decided to get or what the strange patient I took care of last night had to say or how much my little TWA (teen weeny afro, remember...) has grown (and it has...I'll post pics soon).

Then I realized ALL of you guys care...that's WHO!

My faithful few who stop by at least once a day to see what's going on with me CARE.

So, please accept my sincere apology for being away from a great group of bloggy buddies for far too long....and remember....be gentle.

Now, let's get down to business:
I closed on my house in late April. It's a pretty 3BR/2.5BA split level home with a gorgeous RED door. I fell in love with it the moment I stepped into the foyer.

My bedroom is huge and is conveniently located on the first floor. French doors lead out onto the bricked patio and as if it couldn't get any better there's a big white wooden swing for my lounging pleasure out there too.

I have the more traditional living room/dining room set up....not the open plan that everybody's raving about now-a-days.

The kitchen is what I've learned is called a "galley-style" which is perfect for me...since I ain't a chef and don't really need an elaborate monster size kitchen.

The two remaining bedrooms are upstairs and are relatively large....Upstairs is carpet and the two bedrooms share a jack n jill style bathroom.

The bottom level is hardwood (love it!!!)

And no, I've not moved in yet. The previous owners needed at least 30 days to find a place and get moved. So, I've been a landlord for the first and probably last time in my life. The couple have paid rent for this past month (equal to one month's mortgage payment).

D-Day or should I say M-day (move) is coming up next Friday.

I'm super excited but more like exhausted just thinking about the packing, hauling, arranging, breaking, losing, unpacking, rearranging. But what a pay off it will be in the end.

BTW....you're all invited to the house warming....
