I get so sick of bullshit apologies issued by racist pricks after their true feelings, beliefs, and bigoted views are aired like dirty laundry with a stench far worse than anything you can ever recollect. On Saturday Majority Leader Harry Reid pseudo-apologized to President Obama for racist remarks he made concerning the Commander-in-Chief back in 2008.
Reid, a Democrat from Nevada, was quoted in a new book as having said that Obama did not have a “Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one” and that he was popular because he is “light-skinned".
These aren't Reid's first racist remarks. He had plenty to say about the idea of a black Senator replacing the president's vacated Senate seat in Washington.
Something about not wanting another colored on the marble floors of the Capitol unless they had a mop in their hands!
In his apology, Reid said "I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African Americans, for my improper comments."
Mr. Reid, you still don't get it!
It wasn't a poor choice of words....these were and are your true feelings. What you regret is the fact that the cat got out of the bag.
What you should be apologizing for is the fact that this country along with many others traveled to a continent solely for the purpose of kidnapping unsuspecting natives....starving them for 30 to 60 days (in an effort to carry more human cargo).....sailing them across an ocean to an unknown land where wives were sold away from husbands, children sold away from their mothers and those too weak and feeble to perform were murdered with less regard than a hunter gives wild game.Instead of using the old Negro dialect as a slur, you should praise it as a true testament of the will to adapt and overcome. We (my ancestors) were forbade to learn to read or write. So, we learned the language through the sounds we heard and the actions that went along with those sounds.
To be honest, the old Negro dialect might sound very similar to some of the new words you might be forced to learn out of the necessity to survive if someone were to kidnap you and drop your ass off in Zimbabwe!
As far as the many different skin colors Americans of African descent have, you should feel the shame of knowing the variety and variations of our skin are due, in part, to the constant rape of African women by their white slave masters.
Imagine the degradation, Mr. Reid, of a female slave's husband being asked to step out of the little shanty Master had constructed for him and his family so Master could rape his wife!
So, Mr. Reid your apology means nothing to me. I am offended and will remain that way as long as I am forced to see your face in Washington, D.C.
You are an insult to the United States of America. Your representation of the Democratic party sickens me.
The only thing you can do for me is remove yourself from office and take your bigoted views back to whatever cave you crawled out of!!!
