One of the coolest blogs I visit is Men With Pens. James Chartrand and the other guys that author this blog are truly talented.In a word, "These Dudes Can Write!"....well I guess that's actually 4 words. But back to the subject at hand.
Writing or should I say being able to write isn't easy. Putting pen to paper or fingertips to keyboard and creating something that inspires, informs, entertains, angers, persuades, dissuades,.....is an art form and few people have it.
And ignorant little ole me never imagined there were people naive and biased enough to believe one sex is more dominant or better in this field we call freelance writing which is what made James' recent "outing" so astonishing.
James Chartrand isn't really a James at all. At this point she doesn't really feel her name is all that important. She actually still wants to be referred to as James.
Now unless you've slept through the first portion of this post....you had to catch the she in the previous sentence.
That's right! James Chartrand is a she and the reason SHE decided to use a male pseudonym in the first place shows just how archaic and sexist some of us still are in our thinking. Oh, the story is a good one.
