I couldn't pass this video up. We were entertained by it a few days ago at work. If you want to make a hospital's administrative staff piss their pants, tell them an unscheduled visit from JCAHO is only hours away.
JCAHO is the organization that accredits hospitals and other health care facilities in a number of areas. Although accreditation is voluntary, most state governments recognize Joint Commission accreditation as a condition of licensure and receiving Medicaid reimbursement.
Their main focus is patient safety and quality health care. If you've ever worked in a hospital, you know how crazy everybody gets when it's Joint Commission survey time... If the guy in this video actually worked at our hospital, things would be a whole lot different!
