You ever saw or heard something that completely knocks your socks off? I mean one of those "do a double take" type moments. Let me tell ya...there's nothing like it.Back in March my 17 year old started casually throwing around the idea of him and 3 of his friends going on an unchaperoned week long Spring break trip to Daytona Beach. I wasn't too fond of the idea. But after talking to my sister (who's a lot more liberal than I am - can't wait to see how she handles the same situation when her DAUGHTER'S 17) I decided to let him spread his wings.
Their trip went off without a hitch. I even trusted him with my digital camera to capture their great memories for years to come.
When he arrived back home he showed me all his little souvenirs and "allowed" me to look at the pics he'd taken while on the trip. They really looked like they had a great time and the fact that all four of them made it back in one piece wasn't bad either.
Fast forward a few weeks later. I was home cleaning and enjoying a day off. I noticed the camera on the coffee table and thought to myself...Hmmm...I never finished looking at Jamie's pics. So, I plopped down on the sofa and started browsing through his "memories"....I saw pics of them on the beach, in the hotel room, riding scooters, out by the pool...etc..etc.
Towards the end the surroundings started getting really familiar. There he was posing in our living room, bathroom....and then there was a pic of him and a very attractive girl. Jamie had never mentioned a girlfriend to me. He prided himself in being a "ladies man".
THEN...I saw a pic of my son and this pretty girl laying casually across a bed. It was completely innocent...but wait...that comforter sure did look familiar....
Holy shit!!! That's my comforter!!! That's my bed!!! That's my room!!! When did this happen? When was a chick in my house. In the time it takes for a Dodge Viper to go from 0 to 60. This girl went from pretty girl to skank-ass-chick playing hide the sausage in MY BED...Now I don't know for sure that anything occurred after their photo shoot was over but it truly was astonishing to realize someone had been on MY bed with MY son.
We talked about it and he assured me that everything was on the up and up and that he would never invite anyone over without getting the okay from me. We hugged and made nice...
He's such a liar....
