This is probably one of the easiest things you can do as far as promoting your blog. To increase your number of subscribers simply.....ask visitors to do so. ( example: to subscribe to this blog please click on above photo)....That's it. Take nothing for granted. Don't assume that every visitor to your site knows what those subscription buttons are for. Many visitors are new to blogging and may not understand what RSS feeds are. So, posting a quick explanation about how RSS feeds work is another good idea.
Make it easy to subscribe by offering RSS or subscriber buttons - please click to subscribe
or an email option. Please add your email address which will be held in the strictest of confidence.
Make sure your subscription options are highly visible and on each web page.
Another good idea is to have a link for subscribing in your comment section. You never know...someone may have forgotten to subscribe and this will give them one last opportunity to do so before they leave.
